About
Wildwood is set on 15 acres of private World Heritage rainforest, just a 10-minute walk from Cape Tribulation beach. It offers accommodation for 2 to 12 guests, including a large two-bedroom house with a private swimming pool and an adjoining one-bedroom garden apartment, plus two self-contained cabins set 60 metres apart for privacy. The handcrafted timber cabins overlook a freshwater creek and the Daintree World Heritage listed rainforest.
The property features a large orchard with over 800 rare and exotic fruit trees, where guests can explore and enjoy fruits such as mangosteen, soursop, jaboticaba, rambutan, and rollinia. The orchards and gardens are frequently visited by various wildlife including birds, frogs, bats, butterflies, and potentially cassowaries. Wildwood generates its own energy from solar panels and harvests rainwater to minimise its carbon footprint.
Wildwood House includes a modern kitchen and a large lounge with a fireplace, HDTV, and a music centre. Amenities include the private swimming pool, a trampoline, table tennis, and basketball. For entertainment, there is a large library of DVDs and books, as well as TV, wi-fi, and a landline. Mobile phone coverage is available in Cape Tribulation, though guests are asked to keep electronic device use to a minimum.
