About
Tasmanian Devil Unzoo is considered a global leader in the evolution of zoos in the 21st century. Its concept was first tested and developed based on a vision from international designer Jon Coe in 2007. The park features mostly wild, not captive, animals of the Tasmanian bush, including its famous devils, and aims to help save the endangered species.
Visitors can join wildlife presentations and Devil Tracker Tours. The site includes a Botanic Garden, unusual animal art, and a Visitor Centre and Gift Store. It is open every day from 9 am, with a suggested visit time of a couple of hours. A discount double pass is available in conjunction with the nearby Port Arthur Historic Site.
