About
The Mission House is a farm stay located on Cooroy Mountain Rd in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland. The house was originally built in Proston around 1938 using local timbers and was relocated to Tewantin in the 1950s. Purchased in 1970, it is now named in honour of the previous owner and aims to provide a place for guests to rest and reconnect.
Guests can interact with farm animals under supervision, including goats, baby chickens and ponies. The property is home to 4 Brahman cows, 2 horses, 2 alpacas, 4 Indian Runner ducks, 3 Anglo Nubian goats and over 10 Silky Chickens. Native birds such as Pacific Black Duck, Purple Swamp Hen and Kookaburras can also be spotted. On-site activities include using a trampoline and building a fire in the firepit.
The stay includes bed linen, bath towels, kitchen utensils, quality appliances, free Wi-Fi, basic toiletries, laundry items, coffee and tea. The house has a separate driveway and car park for privacy, with check-in from 2 pm and check-out at 10 am via a lock box. It is a 5-minute drive to Cooroy and less than 30 minutes to Noosa’s Main Beach, but being in a semi-rural area requires guests to have their own car.
