Sugar Beach Ranch is a 60-acre property in South Ballina with ocean views, native bushland and Australian wildlife. The Murphy family, with over 30 years of horsemanship, transformed it into a fully functioning horse breeding facility and home to the Surfing Cowboys.

The ranch offers unique experiences including equine therapy, beachside stays and equine wellness retreats. Guests can book a holiday bungalow, secluded camping or bring their own horses. It is an exclusive beachfront property for elopement ceremonies, offering white bird releases. The ranch has been awarded the Silver Medal for Excellence in Wellness Tourism at the North Coast Tourism Awards 2024, recognised as the Best Women's Wellness Retreat in Australia for 2024 & 2025 by LuxLife Magazine, and received the Best Beachfront Accommodation and Wedding Venue award in 2024. Visitors are permitted on site by bookings or appointment only.
