About
Straw House BnB offers luxury farm stay accommodation located 12 minutes from Stanthorpe. Stanthorpe was named Queensland's Number One Destination and Australia's Number 3 for 2024 by WOTIF, and is known as Queensland's 'coolest' place due to lower temperatures, low humidity, and cool nights. Guests can choose to stay in a cottage, a studio cottage, or a luxury Tiny House. The cottages are constructed from straw bales and stucco, providing insulation that keeps them warm in winter and cool in summer.
The Straw House Farm is set on 20 acres that guests are welcome to explore. The farm is home to alpacas, goats, and Highland coos. A dam stocked with Silver Perch is available for fishing. On-farm activities include animal feeding, petting, fishing, and farm tours. Accommodation amenities include Sheridan bedding, T2 tea, and Nespresso machines. Hosts Anna and Tony provide home-cooked breakfasts, and a two-course dinner can also be arranged.
The location is close to local wineries, The Maze, Christmas Farm, Stanthorpe Cheese, Sutton's Juice Factory, and various National Parks. Check-in is from 3:00 PM, with check-out by 10:00 AM. A minimum stay of two nights applies, extending to three nights on public holidays and some school holidays.
