Stonesthrow

Stonesthrow is a 51-acre property in Illinbah, QLD, with council approval for limited camping. Access is restricted to 4WD vehicles only, and campers are encouraged to leave no trace. The property offers privacy away from public campgrounds.

It adjoins its 55-acre sister property, Far Grove, allowing guests to enjoy both sites. This includes 500 metres of creek frontage, kilometres of walking and riding trails, and grassy creek flats for recreation. The properties have a history of farming goats, training racing camels and spelling racehorses. Far Grove also features a variety of fruit trees and plantation timber.

Well-behaved dogs are welcome. A common area in the old shearing shed provides portaloos, a communal fridge, microwave, jug, drinking water, a sink, tables, chairs and a fire pit. Bookings are made through Hipcamp, and guests must read the property rules carefully.
