About
Splitters Farm is a 160-acre rural property bordered by Splitters Creek, a freshwater nature reserve. Established in 2017 as a rescue sanctuary for neglected, abused, or displaced farm animals, it operates as a working farm dedicated to animal welfare, education, and sustainable farming practices. The farm is home to rescued barnyard animals and native Australian wildlife including wallabies, platypus, barramundi, and prehistoric lungfish, with over 150 recorded species of Australian birdlife.
Located just 10 minutes north of Bundaberg's CBD, the farm offers a relaxed self-guided farm experience available seven days a week. Guided farm tours operate during Queensland school holidays and on weekends at 10:30 am, requiring essential bookings. It provides a unique farm stay, rural camping, and caravan park experience, with premium glamping accommodation in Eco Safari Tents and unique stays in charming restored 1960s retrovans. The farm also offers a variety of fresh, locally sourced food options. It is a Trip Advisor Travelers' Choice 2022 recipient.
