About
Rosetta Downs is a mixed farming operation producing angus beef and prime lamb. The farm has been held by the Chown family of Gippsland since 1869, first settled by Charles Chown. The property is located on the Latrobe River, approximately 2.5 hours by road from Melbourne. It is 20 minutes by road to Sale and Traralgon, and a short 5 minutes drive to the country village of Rosedale, which has a regular train service.
Adjacent to the property is the Holey Plains State Park. Wildlife and native birdlife can be seen on the farm and in the park. Rosetta Downs provides luxury farmstay accommodation, with a farmstay complex currently under construction.
