Rathmore is an historic sheep property located in the Tasmanian Central Highlands, beside the Derwent Valley. Settled in 1828, this property remained in one family for 150 years and is set on almost 100 acres. Owners Cally and Richard Lyons offer elegant heritage and rustic chic accommodation options.
The property can accommodate up to 26 guests across 10 bedrooms. Rathmore House provides heritage bedrooms from $250 per night, while Shearers Quarters bedrooms with ensuites are available from $190 per night. Rathmore Cottage offers rustic accommodation from $320 per night for up to four persons. All rates include breakfast provisions. Guests can also enjoy homecooked meals, including a one-course EWEBA EATS meal or a three-course CANDLELIT HOMESTEAD DINNER with wine.
Rathmore offers Platypus Experiences and opportunities to interact with farm animals such as Hercules the steer, Emma, Tim Tam, and Lamb Lucky. Guided bushwalking tours and bespoke wellness options, including in-house massages, can also be arranged. While a two-night minimum stay is generally required, a one-night package with meals and a Bothwell Picnic is available. All bookings are fully refundable if cancellation is due to Public Health directives.
