About
Purple Pear Farm is a small-scale Biodynamic Permaculture farm founded in 2002, run by Mark Brown and Kate Beveridge. The farm uses sustainable and regenerative agriculture practices and has flourishing, productive gardens and forest foods.
It operates primarily as an education centre and demonstration site, offering learning opportunities based on over 20 years of experience. Group farm tours are available for school groups, permaculture groups and TAFE outreach classes, and private tours can be arranged. The farm also hosts Acacia Play sessions, which provide a space for children and carers to connect with nature and interact with farm animals.
Visits are by appointment only as it is a working farm. The farm encourages group bookings and workshops, with facilities to cater for groups in a hands-on learning environment.
