About
Piambong Creek Farm Tours offers immersive, personalised tours on a 1700-acre working farm located 25 km from Mudgee. The farm raises 2000 sheep and 60 cattle, and has a working vegetable garden, a small orchard, and bee hives. Tours are 2.5 hours long, include morning or afternoon tea, and can accommodate up to five guests.
Each tour involves a scenic open-air buggy ride through the countryside and includes a grazing board with home-baked treats from seasonal produce. The tours are tailored to match the age, interest, and farm experience of each group. The business was started by Beth and Don, who have farmed in the Piambong district for over 10 years, to connect the agricultural community with consumers. Beth, the primary guide, is a 4th generation grazier with a background in Environmental Science.
Small-batch preserves, jams, chutneys, and pickles made on the farm are available for purchase from an on-farm stall after the tour, and their produce is also supplied to stockists in Mudgee. Pets are not allowed on the farm due to biosecurity precautions.
