About
You'll find the Grampians Historic Tobacco Kiln tucked away on a working farm, not far from Dunkeld in Western Victoria. It's a beautifully restored 1920s tobacco kiln, now a luxury retreat just for two adults. They've kept plenty of its original charm, but inside it's all about comfort with warm timber, natural textures, and soft lighting. There's a queen bed upstairs and thoughtful touches throughout, making it a really indulgent spot. You can wake up to a continental breakfast then spend your days exploring the farm, or just taking in the views towards the Grampians. In the evenings, you can catch the golden hour from your private deck and watch the stars come out. If you're keen to learn more about farm life, they offer optional tours where you can get a behind-the-scenes look at the seasonal rhythms of the property and its history. It's a great place to slow down and reconnect, whether you're into gentle walks or just want to enjoy the quiet. And if you’re up for a bit of exploring, Dunkeld is only 11km away, with heaps to see and do, like the Dunkeld Arboretum and the historic Dunkeld Old Bakery. The Royal Mail Hotel is there too, offering fine dining at Wickens or more casual fare at the Parker Street Project, both using produce straight from their kitchen garden.
