About
Glenlyon Dam Holiday Cottage is a two-bedroom farmstay cottage with a double bed and two singles, a bathroom, kitchen, lounge and verandahs. It was originally the workman's cottage at Barelli Station and was moved to Tilba Tilba in the late 1970s, recently renovated using recycled or sustainable materials. The cottage overlooks the upper reaches of Glenlyon Dam and provides basic pantry items for guests.
The farm is home to several breeds of rare sheep, alpacas, a small herd of Shorthorn cattle, goats and poultry including Araucanas that lay blue eggs. In spring, guests can watch baby lambs from the cottage verandah. Over 150 species of birds have been recorded in the area. Guests can bush walk, spot wildlife, and use the property's frontage to Glenlyon Dam for fishing and boating when water levels permit. Activities include feeding sheep, collecting eggs, learning to milk a goat on weekends, and evening campfires near the creek.
