Franks' Breakaway Farmstay offers country accommodation on a 600 acre farm owned by Jenny & Reg Franks. Located in the Mudgee-Rylstone-Kandos-Gulgong area, the property backs onto Wollemi National Park and is approximately 3.5 hours from Sydney and one hour from Mudgee. The famous Dunns Swamp is a short distance away.
Accommodation options include a 4-bedroom self-contained farmhouse or a 2-bedroom stone cottage hand-constructed by Reg using local sandstone. A private secluded campsite with a fireplace, BBQ and bathroom is also available, with room for tents, campervans and for children to play.
Set in a hidden valley with spectacular scenery, the farmstay provides a taste of farm life with sheep, cattle, chooks and home-grown produce. Activities include bushwalking, table tennis, cycling, fishing, platypus spotting, discovering wombat holes and birdwatching.
