About
Flinders Bush Retreats is a boutique farm stay located in the Flinders Ranges on a 13,000-acre property. It is owned and operated by the McInnis family, who are 5th and 6th generation graziers. The family first settled on the Willow Plains in 1878, and the 6th generation currently lives and works on the same land. They diversified into tourism to supplement their farm income.
The business offers two self-contained houses for accommodation, which can accommodate 6-10 guests. They also offer glamping in an Eco Tent, located in a secluded gorge 21 km east of Hawker. Firearms and chainsaws are not permitted on the property. The retreat has received tourism awards, including a 2023 Gold List recognition, and is a member of the Tourism Industry Council South Australia.
