About
Fernleigh Accommodation is located in the rural country town of Goughs Bay, on the edge of Lake Eildon. The property offers five cottages and a large group lodge on 11 acres with gum trees, open space, and dams. The original homestead was built in 1917 by Edward Gough.
Guests can enjoy a garden, a swimming pool open in summer and spring, a brand new full-size tennis court with rackets and balls, a small basketball court, and large open paddocks. There is a communal outdoor BBQ area and a fire pit. Native animals such as kangaroos, wombats, echidnas, possums, rabbits, deer, and native birds can be seen on the property.
The accommodation is a 15-minute drive from Mansfield, a 5-minute walk to Lake Eildon, and a 35-minute drive to the base of Mt Buller. It is also a 45-minute drive to Mt Buller, making it suitable for snow trips, and its proximity to the lake is ideal for summer boating.
