Eckert's Old Place

Eckert's Old Place offers rustic and peaceful accommodation on a merino sheep stud and wheat/barley cropping farm at Emu Downs. Guests sleep in a sandstone cabin that was once used by shearers, with the cottage sleeping 4 people and additional campsites available for extra friends. The property features a stone building with a chimney and a large, vintage windmill. Campfires are welcome when there is no fireban in effect.

Recently completed an upgrade, the accommodation is available for bookings via Hipcamp and was listed as one of Australia's top Hipcamps. The location is within an easy drive to the Clare Valley wine regions and historic towns like Robertstown, Burra, and Eudunda.
