About
Chapman Valley offers private bush campsites selected for their remote feel, as well as a large, flat communal camping area. The private sites have no amenities, requiring campers to bring their own toilet and shower or drive back to the home base facilities. The communal area provides easy access for all vehicle types, including caravans, and is within walking distance of the toilet and shower block. All campsites are pet friendly.
Campers must bring their own drinking and dish-washing water and take all rubbish home. Campfires are permitted with prior notification, and fines apply if a fire is left unattended or smouldering. 4WDing is allowed on defined roads and tracks with permission. Horse riding can be booked in advance and is suggested due to high demand; other activities include horse feeding, mountain biking, hiking and sightseeing.
Accommodation for non-campers includes private rooms at the Drover's Quarters or The Basin, a fully furnished two-bedroom home available until June 2026. This is a family-run business with no phone reception on the property.
