About
Bungaree Station, set in the beautiful Clare Valley, offers a real taste of South Australian heritage. Established way back in 1841, you can still feel the history walking around the place. They've got a Station Store where you can grab a coffee and pick up some local produce, which is a nice touch. It's more than just a farm gate though. You can take tours of the historic station, which give you a good feel for what life was like for early pioneers. Lots of people reckon it's well worth the visit, with one guest from Adelaide mentioning the rooms are well-designed and the dinner brought to their room was spectacular. The family running it are still the original family, and they're really helpful if you're looking for tips on what to see in the Clare Valley. There's also heritage accommodation available, from the cosy Stallion Box to the larger Shearers Quarters, so you can really soak up the atmosphere. It's a proper historic property, perfect for a short break or even bigger events.
