About
Bungabee Springs is a family-run farm in the Bentley Valley, near the Byron Bay Hinterland. It operates 100 acres of mixed regenerative farming, home to cattle, wallabies, pasture-raised chickens, horses and abundant wildlife. The property features a diverse landscape of creek flats, bushland, subtropical forest and ridges with panoramic views.
The farm offers off-grid camping with spacious, scattered campsites, each with a dam for swimming. Guests must be fully self-sufficient, with fire pits provided. Toilet and shower facilities are available, and bags of firewood or farm fresh eggs can be purchased with a booking. The entry road is gravel and accessible by all vehicles, though some campsites require a 4WD. No day visits are permitted; bookings must be made 24 hours prior as it is a working farm.
The property is at the entry to Bungabee State Forest & Nature Reserve, known for hiking, horse trails and 4WD tracks. It is within a 20-minute drive of Lismore, Casino and Kyogle, and less than an hour from Byron Bay, Ballina and Evans Head.
