Blackwood Cottage is a self-contained holiday accommodation located north of Portland, adjoining Cobboboonee Forest Park. It is part of an 18.5 acre hobby farm and is situated 12km from Portland. The cottage has two bedrooms catering for up to five adults and is suitable for families. It is pet friendly with a large fully fenced secure yard for dogs, and a secure horse yard adjoins the property.
From the cottage, visitors can directly access the forest without crossing any roads. Opening the farm gate provides access to more than 27,000 hectares of bush and forest for bush-walking, horse riding, mountain biking or wildlife watching. The famous Great South West Walk is a 10-minute walk away. The property has native trees and two wildlife corridors attracting koalas, wallabies, kangaroos and birds, with kangaroos visiting early mornings and at dusk.
