Blackwattle Farm is a 20-acre hobby farm at the base of the Glasshouse Mountains in Beerwah, run by a young family embracing a self-sustainable lifestyle. The farm offers a convenient base for exploring the Sunshine Coast, being 10 minutes from Australia Zoo and 30 minutes from the hinterlands and beaches. Guests receive a 10% discount card for the zoo.

Accommodation includes two tiny houses and a larger cabin, all self-contained and private with their own outdoor fire pit. The package includes a generous breakfast with farm-sourced honey and homemade jams, plus a daily animal feeding tour where guests can help feed animals, collect fresh eggs, and harvest from organic gardens. A farm gate is available to purchase extra homemade goodies.

The farm focuses on sustainability and a low ecological footprint, aiming to grow as much of its own food as possible including meat, eggs, fruit, honey, jams, vegetables, and herbs. The family also milks two cows for milk, cheese, and butter. The dream for the farm began in 2015 with a decision for a lifestyle change.
