Big Rocks Bush Retreat is a 700-acre property of unspoiled bushland at the foothills of Woowooga National Park near Childers. It offers a peaceful, back-to-nature experience with various campsites, including spacious bush sites, secluded tent spots, and adventure-ready 4WD, motorbike, and horse-friendly camping. A premium, exclusive Croc Creek site provides private toilet, shower and fireplace facilities.
The retreat is home to rare wildlife including the Greater Glider, Black-breasted Buttonquail, and the endangered Cycas megacarpa cycad. Activities include bushwalking, mountain biking, 4WD and motorbike tracks, farm animal encounters, and stargazing. Communal facilities feature a fire pit, camp kitchen, recreational amenities, a rustic open-air camp shower, and a clean, accessible toilet. The property has horse yards and is suitable for group bookings such as weddings, social gatherings, and clubs. Bookings are made through Hipcamp, and the retreat is managed by hosts John and Lyn.
