About
Willunga Farmers Market is South Australia's first farmers market, established in 2002. It operates every Saturday from 8am until 12 noon, rain, hail or shine, on the Willunga High School site. The market provides a venue for small producers to sell fresh food directly to customers, offering a wide variety of local produce including fruit, vegetables, dairy, meat, seafood, poultry, baked goods, condiments, small goods, wine, cider, plants, coffee, and breakfast.
Membership supports the market's operation and provides a 10% discount at all stalls. In 2014, the market developed a $15,000 scholarship program to support start-up farming businesses and encourage farming on the Fleurieu Peninsula. Dogs are not permitted on site, with the exception of registered service dogs.
