The Shire Farmers' Market is a weekly event held every Saturday from 8am to 1pm at Flora Street carpark, Sutherland. It operates rain, hail or shine. This market is the only dedicated 'Foodies' market in the Sutherland Shire, specialising in fresh seasonal foods and beverages.
Its mission is to offer quality Australian farm-fresh produce direct to the consumer. The market also aims to support local community groups throughout the Shire and independent primary producers throughout NSW. It promotes education on environmental aspects, sustainable agriculture, and recycling of green waste. Visitors can enjoy freshly made coffee or tea at the market.
