REKO Producer 2 (No GST)

REKO Producer 2 operates within the REKO model, a not-for-profit organisation that facilitates direct sales from local farmers and makers to customers. REKO is an online farmer's market where producers sell directly to their local community without middlemen. Each REKO ring has an online shop where producers advertise their available products. Customers order and pay online and then pick up their orders at a pre-determined drive-thru location and time.

The REKO model promotes responsible consumption, as the name is an acronym for the Finnish words meaning this concept. It aims to reduce waste, as producers only bring ordered and paid-for items to pick-up, and promotes less wasteful packaging and fewer food miles. The model also connects local communities and offers an opportunity for new businesses to test and develop their products.
