About
Rapid Creek Markets is Darwin's oldest market, located about 10km from Darwin CBD. It transforms the Rapid Creek Business Village into a bustling slice of Asia with more than 100 stalls. Visitors can explore organic and tropical produce, including Asian fruits and vegetables, plus dried or preserved goods from Asia and parts of Africa. The market also sells local arts and crafts, jewellery, exotic plants, home-made chutneys and jams, and health and beauty products. Fresh seafood, cuts of meat, dairy, and flowers are available, alongside a Street Food Park offering authentic Asian dishes and live music. Asian sweets and delicacies are available to take away.
The markets are temporarily suspended due to the COVID-19 situation. They are working to revise their format and layout for reopening. Historically, they operated every Saturday and Sunday from 7 AM to 2 PM, rain, hail or shine.
