About
Mount Claremont Farmers' Market is Perth's original farmers' market, founded in 2007. Run as a not-for-profit by the Mount Claremont Primary School P&C Association, its operation provides funds for school programs, equipment, maintenance and upgrades.
The market features fresh produce from paddock to plate, with the majority of stallholders attending weekly or fortnightly. It provides authentic local produce and enables direct interaction between producers and consumers, offering the opportunity to ask questions about how food is grown and harvested. Food is transported shorter distances and is generally grown using methods that minimise environmental impact.
As a community service and a cornerstone of the local events calendar, the market offers live music and entertainment. The market acknowledges the Whadjuk Noongar Peoples as traditional custodians of the land.
