Market in the Mountains is the premier craft market in Stanthorpe, operating since 1993. It is a 100% local artisan handcrafted market supporting local artists, crafters, farmers, makers and growers, offering quality arts and crafts with a local flavour. The market features seasonal fruit and vegetables, 'Foodies' Delights', and 'Handcrafted for the Home' items, though not all stallholders are present at every market.

The market is held at the Stanthorpe Showgrounds and is known for the warmest welcome in Queensland's coolest town. It welcomes tour groups and buses and has disabled access and facilities. While some stallholders accept Visa, Mastercard and EFTPOS, most only take cash, with ATM machines available throughout town.
