About
If you're after some proper local produce, the Margaret River Farmers' Market is the place to be on a Saturday morning. You'll find it at the Margaret River Education Campus, just off Bussell Highway. It's not just any market, either, these folks were crowned Australia's Most Outstanding Farmers' Market back in 2018 at the Delicious Awards. That's a fair dinkum achievement.
What makes it so good? Well, it's all about connecting you directly with the people who grow and make your food. No middlemen here, which means you're getting super fresh, seasonal stuff straight from the farm gate, or the kitchen bench. You can pick up all sorts, from fresh fruit and veg to baked goods, dairy, eggs, and even some ready-to-go meals. They've also got artisan producers selling things like chocolate, nougat, condiments, olive oil, and handmade pasta. It’s a great spot to grab your weekly groceries, have a yarn with the producers, and really get a feel for the local food scene in the Margaret River Region.
They're pretty strict too, only true producers are allowed to sell, so you know you're getting the real deal every time. It’s a proper community hub, and you can tell a lot of care goes into making sure everyone gets a fair go.
