Maitland Community Markets are held on the first Sunday of the month from March to December at the Maitland Showground, operating from 9 am to 1 pm. They are hosted by the not-for-profit Hunter River Agricultural & Horticultural Association, with all stallholder fees used for running the markets and maintaining the 84-acre showground site.
The markets feature over 100 stalls offering handmade, homegrown and locally produced goods, including food and produce from local farmers. The site provides both indoor and outdoor stalls. There is no ATM onsite so visitors should bring cash, though many stallholders offer EFTPOS. Dogs are welcome on a leash.
