The Healesville Organic Farmers Market was established in 2004 to provide residents of the Yarra Valley with direct weekly access to fresh organically grown produce from local farmers. It operates every Saturday, year-round, at Coronation Park in Healesville, and is open rain, hail or shine. All fruit, herbs and vegetables sold are grown organically, and baked goods are made from organic ingredients where possible.

While all stall-holders are the growers and makers of their own products, a single fresh produce wholesaler is present to fill gaps with organic items not available locally. The market has expanded to include other local specialties such as honey, seeds, seedlings, breads, bagels, sweet treats, cheeses, mushrooms and locally roasted coffee. Visitors are encouraged to bring their own bags and baskets to reduce plastics and food packaging.
