The Bairnsdale Farmers' Market is now run by the Howitt Park Bowls Club, having moved from its previous long-term location at Bairnsdale Secondary College. It is held on the first Saturday of each month from 8am to noon at the corner of the highway and McEachern Street. Access is now easier following the completion of a new roundabout, and parking is readily available.
The market offers fresh produce from Lindenow, fruit from Picnic Point Farm and the Fruit Farm, locally distilled spirits, gourmet pies, and Nicholson nuts and coffee. It also features a range of beautiful and unusual crafts. Visitors can enjoy a stroll, a chat and a coffee while appreciating the local food and crafts.
