About
Eltham Farmers' Market is held every Sunday from 8am to 12.30pm at 10-18 Arthur Street. It offers a range of locally grown or made Victorian food, from vegetables and fruit to condiments and sweet treats. All stallholders are from within Victoria, with many from North-East Melbourne, and sell their own produce with no re-sellers.
The market is a Victorian Farmers' Market Association accredited initiative by Local Food Connect. Entry is free and it aims to be single-use, plastic bag free, offering reusable jute bags for purchase and 'boomerang bags' to borrow. On the fourth Sunday of each month, a Food Swap is held, and a community stall is often present. The site features a level bitumen surface and public seating for accessibility, with 16 disabled parking bays nearby. Dogs are not permitted, except for trained assistance dogs.
