About
Yanjala Farm is a small-scale free range pig farm located near Murgon, Queensland. It produces succulent free range pork from a small herd of Wessex Saddleback pigs, a slow-growing heritage breed well-suited for outdoor living and foraging. All pigs are born, raised, and cared for on the farm.
The farm uses ethical farming methods, with pigs living completely free range on open pastures, averaging around 800 square metres each. The pigs never receive additives, chemicals, hormones, or antibiotics, resulting in slow grown, natural pork full of flavour and beneficial nutrients. Yanjala Farm acknowledges the Wakka Wakka people as the traditional owners of the land.
Pork is sold direct to the public as quarter shares or whole pigs, with whole suckling and spit pigs available when in season. The farm supports local businesses by sending pigs to butchers for processing, with collection available from partners in several regions. Online ordering is available for their free range pork, honey, and seasonal Christmas hams, with delivery to specified areas.
