Woodspring Shorthorn is an Eisel family cattle farm located in Inglewood, Queensland, focused on raising premium beef using regenerative farming practices. The farm utilises Shorthorn genetics and a 150-day sprout-finishing program, where cattle consume nearly two tonnes of fresh barley sprouts daily to supplement their pasture diet. This method, combined with yearling finishing, aims for optimal tenderness and flavour, and results in beef with higher omega-3 fatty acids than grain-fed beef.
The farm operates on a farm-to-table model, raising, finishing, and processing on-site. Their practices include rotational grazing for regenerative land management, and the beef is hormone and chemical-free with no synthetic inputs used on-farm. Woodspring Shorthorn prioritises quality over volume and offers 100% transparency, welcoming customers to visit and observe their practices. They provide consistent production for reliable availability year-round and offer farm tours.
