Watervale Hotel is the most awarded restaurant in Clare Valley and operates on a farm-to-plate philosophy. Its seasonal menu is driven by produce from its own organic, biodynamic Penobscot Farm. The hotel is open seven days a week from 11am to 9pm, offering an a la carte menu featuring fresh organic produce from Penobscot and other local farms.
Its premier experience is the Penobscot Restaurant, a ten-seat degustation-only restaurant seated at the Chef's Table. Degustation dining sittings are at 12 noon and 6pm daily, with a 10-course menu costing $150 per head. A comprehensive Wine Masterclass is offered at 11am daily for $120 per head, and Penobscot Farm Tours are available at 4pm. The hotel also offers a Farm Feast featuring vegetables from Penobscot Farm, lamb and free-range chicken for $50 per head.
Accommodation packages are available for stays at the Watervale Hotel Guesthouse or the rustic 1860's Penobscot Farm Cottage set on a 14-hectare property.
