Two Metre Tall Farmhouse Ale & Cider is a fiercely independent business run by farmers who brew farm ales and ciders in unique batches. Their approach focuses on flavour, sustainability, and truth of origin, using farm-grown ingredients from their own property in the Derwent Valley as well as ingredients sourced directly from other farmers across Tasmania. Their brewing methods include barrel ageing and spontaneous fermentations, with experimentation in ingredients like fruit in ale and sour cherries.
The business operates a Cellar Door and Farm Bar at their Hayes location, open Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 12 PM to 4:30 PM. They are closed at the brewery on market days. Products are available via farm gate sales and through their online shop for Ale & Cider.
