Tongola Cheese produces handmade Tasmanian farmhouse goat cheese from the milk of their Swiss Toggenburg goats. The award-winning cheese is made on Leap Farm, located on the hills of Tasmania's lower East Coast overlooking Marion Bay. The business is run by Iain and Kate Field.
In 2019, Tongola Cheese was awarded Sprout Small Producer of the Year and Weekly Times Farmer of the Year. They also produce a skincare range called Leapful, which uses lactic whey from their cheese production. The business provides recipes featuring their cheeses and participates in market events such as Farmgate Market and the Tasmanian Wine Festival, where they sell cheese platters.
