About
Tilbrook Estate was established by James and Annabelle Tilbrook in 1999 in Lenswood, a cool climate wine grape growing area of the Adelaide Hills. The vineyard follows a 'Hand made by our hands' philosophy, with the family involved in every step of the winemaking process. The vines are close planted at double the norm of other Adelaide Hills vineyards, with rows planted across the slope and some blocks terraced to improve water absorption and ensure uniform ripeness.
The estate grows grapes with minimal environmental impact, coexisting with native wildlife. Kangaroos, parrots, lorikeets, Black Cockatoos, Kites, Hawks, and Wedge-Tailed Eagles are often seen in and around the vineyard. From October 2025, Spanish Chef Juan Gallego offers an authentic Spanish menu at the kitchen, which also retains Pinsa Pala Romana Pizzas.
The cellar door is open on Friday nights and on weekends. The estate offers live music on Friday nights with free entry, hosts weddings and functions, and has an online store and wine club. Bookings for groups of up to 7 people can be made for tastings and lunch.
