About
The Truffle Farm Tasmania is recognised as the home of Australia's first black truffle. It is also the country's first producing truffle farm. Visitors can learn about the history of truffles from the pioneering family.
Second-generation truffle farmer Anna conducts truffle hunts with her dogs. The farm hosts both summer and winter truffles, and tours operate all year-round, with the exception of Christmas Day and New Year's Day. Various tour options are available seasonally; for instance, the Summer Siesta Truffle Hunting experience runs from December to May. The Truffle Hunt and Truffle Hunting and Lunch experiences are available from December to September, while the Winter Warmer Hunt is offered from June to September. Bookings are essential for all tour options, and gluten-free and dairy-free options are available for some experiences.
The farm also features a farmgate shop, which is open to the public daily from 10 am to 4 pm. Entry to the farmgate shop is free. Black truffles and truffle products are available, and an online shop is also offered.
