About
Sheffield Berry Gardens, just a stone's throw from Sheffield town in North West Tasmania, is a real favourite for folks wanting to pick their own berries. You'll find it not too far from Cradle Mountain either, making it a handy stop if you're exploring the area. They've got heaps of delicious berries you can pick yourself, like strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, redcurrants, tayberries, and even boysenberries and marionberries. People rave about how super sweet and juicy the strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, redcurrants, and tayberries are, and some even say the raspberries are the best they've ever tasted. It's a great experience for families, with one reviewer mentioning they paid just five bucks an adult for picking and eating, then $15 a kilo for what they picked. If you're not up for picking, you can always grab some fresh berries straight from their farm shed. You can also find their goodies at the Harvest Market Launceston and the Farm Gate Market Hobart if you're in those spots. The owner, Brett, is a friendly bloke who's happy to show you around the farm and chat about their range of berries. They've even got delicious berry ice cream to cool you down on a warm day.
