About
Sandy Creek Macadamias is a family-owned and run macadamia orchard on the Sunshine Coast, operated by Scott and Maureen Macnicol. The farm produces pasture free-range eggs and spray-free Australian macadamias using sustainable and regenerative farming methods.
The hens are raised at a stocking density of 400 per hectare, with daily access to forage and wheat fodder for protein. The macadamias are grown without sprays, using natural fertilisers and regenerative practices to protect the land and water. As part of their regenerative farming commitment, the owners have planted a 10,000-tree Gympie Mesmate forest spanning over 12 hectares on already cleared land, which provides space for wildlife.
Their eggs and macadamias are available from various stockists across the Sunshine Coast and can be purchased from the West End Markets in Brisbane every fortnight.
