Ruefleur Chestnut

Ruefleur Chestnuts is an orchard located in Olinda, just under an hour's drive east of Melbourne. The orchard has 100 mature grafted European chestnut trees, with the main varieties being Purton's Pride, Red Spanish, and Black Beauty. It benefits from high rainfall and fertile red volcanic soil, ensuring high quality produce.

The chestnuts are harvested from the end of March and throughout April. The produce is pesticide and fungicide free, and fresh chestnuts are promptly harvested and correctly refrigerated at 0°C to maintain maximum freshness. Chestnuts are sold directly from the orchard, allowing visitors to deal directly with the grower for superior quality produce. Visits are by appointment only, requiring advanced phone booking. The orchard is located 5kms from the Silvan Reservoir Park and minutes from the Olinda tourist precinct.
