About
Redgate Wines, down in Margaret River, has been a family affair since 1977. Bill Ullinger kicked things off back then, planting 20 acres of vines, and it's since grown into a 55-acre spread with its own winery and cellar door. They're known for crafting premium wines, all handled with a personal touch. You can grab their 2022 Sauvignon Blanc Reserve, which has these bright citrus, gooseberry, and passionfruit notes, apparently from being partly barrel-fermented. They also do a 2022 Chenin with tropical fruit salad and citrus characters. If you're into reds, there's the 2018 Ullinger Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon, made from their older, 40-year-old vines, and a 2020 Shiraz with touches of liquorice, vanilla, and dark chocolate. They even have a 2021 Chardonnay, made from the best fruit from their vineyard. They're open every day, except for a few public holidays, from 10 am to 4:30 pm. You can even bring your own picnic to enjoy with a glass or two while looking out over the views. They
