About
Red Cow Farm Garden is an outstanding landmark in the historic village of Sutton Forest, surrounded by picturesque rural vistas in the Southern Highlands. The 1820s cottage at its heart is encircled by an abundant Cottage Garden, and the property is divided into 20 distinct garden rooms. These include a Monastery Garden with artworks and statues for reflection, a Woodland with rare trees and maples, and a Kitchen Garden serving as an inspiration for growing fresh produce. Rhododendrons and birches line the walk to the Bog Garden and Lake, while an extensive collection of 800 roses is dispersed throughout the grounds.
Established fruit trees abundant with apples, pears and stone fruits are available for sampling. The garden is designed to encourage multiple visits, and visitors should look out for red cows on the farm. Owners Ali and Wayne are available to assist with plant selections and answer questions. Their nursery sells rare self-propagated plants, and a gift shop in the cottage offers Red Cow Farm souvenirs, handmade jams, scented candles and framed prints.
