About
Peppermint Ridge Farm Native Foods is run by Julie and Anthony, located in the rolling hills of Tynong North, Victoria. The farm has been growing and cultivating native bushfood and botanical plants for over twenty-five years. They are committed to growing quality native foods sustainably and in harmony with the environment.
Visitors have been welcomed to the farm since the mid-1990s for foodie and educational experiences. Their established display garden features over thirty edible species of native food plants, showcasing flavours and aromas of plants like lemon myrtle, anise myrtle, strawberry gum, finger lime, and mountain pepper. Peppermint Ridge Farm produces organically grown herbs, spices, and teas from its plantations. The farm offers Bushfood Tour & Taste Events, which include guided tours and lunch, as well as Native Pantry cooking classes.
The native foods nursery stocks a wide range of edible and botanical native plants. Plants from the nursery can be ordered online, by email, or by appointment at the farm. Peppermint Ridge Farm also sells the 2nd edition of their 'Australian Native Food Harvest' book. They provide presentations on Australian Native Foods to libraries and community groups, and work with schools and kindergartens to develop native bushfood gardens. An online shop is available, and delivery is offered for plants.
