Our Mates' Farm out in the Huon Valley is run by Matt and Cor, who are really passionate about showing folks where their food comes from. They've got a certified organic farm, and you can tell they put a heap of care into everything they do. If you head over to 291 Arve Rd, you'll find them selling a great range of stuff directly from the farm gate. They grow a big variety of eating apples and cider apples, which are all certified organic. You'll also find premium pasture-raised beef and lamb. They're pretty proud of their pigs too, free-range heritage breeds that get to roam on pasture and even munch on apples. It's a cracking spot to grab your produce straight from the source, knowing it's all grown with a lot of thought for the land. They're all about transparent farming and showing visitors around, so you can see exactly how they do things. It's a good chance to connect with the farmers and get some top-notch, organic produce.
