Minard Farm is home to the Minard Highland Cattle Fold and Turned Around Studio. Farm tours allow visitors to get close to highland cattle and learn about the fold, and include a Devonshire morning or afternoon tea with lunch available as an optional extra. Tours also feature a demonstration on the wood lathe, and bookings are essential.
The Turned Around Studio is operated by Michael, a qualified furniture restorer, upholsterer and wood turner. He completes commission works and produces furniture and wood turned homewares for sale. The studio offers workshops in upholstery, furniture restoration, wood turning and other crafts, typically lasting one or two days with fees covering tuition, materials and morning tea.
The farm is open seven days a week from 9am to 4:30pm by appointment only.
