Margin's Mushrooms is a family-run spot on the NSW Central Coast, growing fresh fungi for over a decade. It all started as a bit of an experiment, seeing if an old ice cream factory's cool room could be put to good use growing mushrooms. Good thing it worked out, because now you can grab heaps of White, Swiss Brown, and Oyster mushrooms straight from the farm gate at 536 Woy Woy Road. If you're keen to see how it all happens, they do farm tours for groups of fifteen or more, which sounds like a great day out for a club or a bunch of mates. They're not just about selling mushrooms either, they’ve got a whole section on their website with recipes to help you out if you’re stuck for ideas. Plus, they sell high-quality compost too, a handy bonus if you've got a green thumb. And if you can’t make it to the farm, you can always catch them at local fresh produce markets - check their calendar online to see where they’ll be next. They’re really passionate about what they do, and it shows in the quality and the friendly service. One happy customer, Lee Steer, went on about how delicious the mushrooms were from the Everleigh Markets, saying she even used their recipe suggestions for a vegetarian dish that was "absolutely delicious".
